Sustainability as a strategic business objective

91% of companies take sustainability criteria into account when making purchasing decisions (source: HEC Sustainable Procurement Benchmark). The future viability of companies is thus also determined by environmental, social and ethical performance.

"As a family-run company with ecological values and also out of personal conviction, sustainability goals are important to us. In every respect, I want to leave the company to the next generation better than I took it over. This naturally includes the responsibility to create sustainable framework conditions for our economic success. It makes us proud that our efforts over the past few years have already been awarded silver in the EcoVadis ranking," says managing partner Jürgen Walcher.

The company will continue to pursue its ambitious sustainability goals. An environmental team was set up three years ago, which is composed across all divisions. After all, the company's sustainability can only be continuously improved if all employees actively work towards it, according to the management.
