halstrup-walcher receives bronze in the EcoVadis sustainability rating
The drive and measurement technology specialist halstrup-walcher GmbH has once again been honoured in the internationally recognised EcoVadis sustainability rating. With the bronze medal, halstrup-walcher is among the best 35% of companies.
As in previous years, EcoVadis evaluates 21 sustainability criteria in four categories: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. The quality of the sustainability management of the assessed companies is scored using a point system. Based on the score thresholds for the medals in 2024, halstrup-walcher was awarded the Bronze category (Top 35%).
"Even though we received the Bronze award instead of Silver this year due to the adjusted evaluation criteria by EcoVadis, we are very proud of our continuous achievements in the field of sustainability. Our goal is not to receive a specific medal, but we use the external assessment to precisely identify areas where we can improve day by day. The progress in all sustainability areas shows us that we are on the right path",
said Jürgen Walcher, who leads the company together with Christian Sura.
The measurement and drive technology specialist halstrup-walcher GmbH has always placed great importance on sustainable business practices as a family-owned company. With the recently established "Corporate Sustainability" department, the company emphasizes the importance of sustainability in the future. The cross-departmental implementation organization is actively working on a series of projects to further enhance sustainability.
